GdS: €10m could be enough as Milan want promising Santos striker immediately

By Isak Möller -

In addition to Olivier Giroud and Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Milan want a name for the future in the centre-forward position. There could be some more movement this summer, therefore, with one player eyed.

According to today’s edition of Gazzetta Dello Sport, as cited by MilanNews, Kaio Jorge is at the top of Milan’s transfer wish list. His contract with Santos will expire in December but he could arrive already this summer.

Several teams are interested in the 19-year-old and in order to beat the competition, the Rossoneri could put €10m on the table for Santos. Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara are currently evaluating this possibility, very keen on the player.

As said, Kaio Jorge would indeed be a name for the future and the move could help him a lot, as he will get to learn from Giroud and Ibrahimovic. It remains to be seen, though, if Milan will place the bid.

  1. Presumably the issue here wouldn’t be the transfer fee to Santos, but the various third parties and commissions that would be involved. Would be a big gamble with money tight, but if the scouting is right maybe exactly the sort of thing needed. Big “if” there.

  2. I see he made the only goal in the 1-0 victory in the Copa Sudamericana quarter finals last night, coming back from an injury. Looks like a huge prospect this kid, I say go for it.
