GdS: €18-20m Man Utd defender wants to stay at Milan – Maldini and Massara study the formula

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan’s hopes of keeping Diogo Dalot beyond the expiry of his loan spell have been given a boost, according to a report.

Today’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanLive) explains that Manchester United have changed their stance after initially seeming unwilling to let Dalot leave again, having taken note of his desire to continue his growth at Milan. The Portuguese full-back found himself to be very happy with the Rossoneri and would like to stay.

What remains now is to see whether Maldini and Massara can snatch an agreement from the Red Devils and the two directors have a loan with option to buy in mind as the formula, but it will be up to Manchester United.

A valuation of €18-20m has been mentioned, while Milan is also in contact with Dalot’s entourage and it is hoped to find an agreement that can satisfy all parties. The Portuguese side had a season of ups and downs in terms of form, but he was versatile and seemed to settle towards the end of the season.
