AC Milan and Inter could look to extend their stay under the same roof, even in the same area, with a San Siro rebuild, and the figures have been revealed.
The debacle about stadiums has been ongoing for what feels like an eternity. In recent years frustrations have grown due to a lack of tangible progress, and when WeBuild came forward with plans to renovate the stadium, it seemed a page had been turned.
However, the next few months were filled with back and forth about the idea, and at one stage the Rossoneri seemed to make a U-turn – towards a renovation – but later backtracked. So whilst that idea is off the table, the picture is no clearer.
Both clubs are still undecided on how they want to move forward, but it seems like working together could be ideal for all parties.
For this reason, the Milanese clubs are looking at purchasing San Siro and the neighbouring areas to rebuild a new stadium, and it could cost €170-250 million, as Gazzetta dello Sport writes, which is certainly not pocket change for either club.
Given the Rossoneri have already invested €40 million into the San Donato region, it remains to be seen what will occur, but it does not seem to be getting any more clear.
Yaaaaaaaaaawn……
So over these stories. I’m not reading any more until they start with words “Official”.
