GdS: Four playmakers in the running as Hauge exit provides funding for Milan

By Isak Möller -

Jens Petter Hauge’s time at AC Milan is close to ending after nine months but the sale of the winger should free up funds, a report claims.

According to the latest from La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews), very little is missing until Hauge’s transfer to Eintracht Frankfurt is made official. The deal is almost closed, and the two sides are in the details discussing bonuses, as evidenced by the fact he was not called up for the last two friendlies.

Last October Milan paid €4m to sign him from Bodo/Glimt and will sell him for €12m, but that money will go towards signing a new attacking midfielder. The Rossoneri would like to increase their treasury with other sales, such as those of Andrea Conti and Samu Castillejo, who they hope to get around €15m from.

The latest idea is the loan of Aaron Ramsey from Juventus as the playmaker, but the candidacies of Nikola Vlasic of CSKA Moscow, Isco of Real Madrid and Hakim Ziyech of Chelsea remain.

    1. Definitely, James would be a good addition — providing that Everton will not ask a tremendous fee (they should not as they signed him for free). Eventually, James and Ilicic will be our last transfers in this window — which is very good (it definitely is an upgrade in quality for our team compared to last year). Aside these transfers, an extra option for the attack will be amazing

  1. The best candidate is by all means: Vlasic (young with re-sale value, eager to play for us, low salary).

The worse case is Ramsey: a flop at Juve and very likely a flop at us.

Albeit Ziyech is the most flexible on the pitch, he is very expensive (both in terms of salary and transfer fee). Chelsea needs funds to cover Lukaku transfer. So potential negotiations with Chelsea will not be easy.

Isco is an in-between solution. I think he entered in a declining stage of his career. He is relatively expensive with no resale status. If he does not deliver, Milan will face serious problems to re-sale him

  2. Vlasic – talent and future wise
James – proven, underform and undervalue
    Ramsey – 1goal = 1 death
Ziyech – super expensive, seems like same level and James
Isco – overvalued and out of form, declining

our main problem is finishing, since we can get the ball in 3rd half but hard to get goals. so get the one that scores+ craete chances not like hakan.

    so 1. vlasic 2.james 3. ziyech 4 isco
ill rather put maldini than put aaron ramsey in

  3. LOL. What profit??? It’s a fkn LOAN. We won’t see that huge sum of 7M until next summer. So what profit are we now??? ZERO. There is no funding. And we haven’t sold Castillejo or Conti because nobody fkn wants to buy them lol. And do you really think if they are sold we will take 15M from them?? LOL. Honestly we are becoming a fkn joke. At best we sign Illic that’s it – why – because he’s old, cheap and nobody wants him. We need to stop dreaming we are getting players like Vlasic. They cost 30M and we cannot even afford 3M (Kaio Jorge). So I wouldn’t get our hopes up high. This is pretty much the team we have and we will be ,icky to finish 6th. I pray I am dead wrong but I just don’t see it
