GdS: Four-time Champions League winner enters Milan’s list of targets for the No.10 role

AC Milan have a number of different targets to replace Hakan Calhanoglu ranging from dreams to concrete ideas and low-cost deals, a report claims.

La Gazzetta dello Sport suggests that Isco is now a target for Milan as he could leave Real Madrid where he has been since 2013. The 29-year-old has quality and experience at the top level given he has won the Champions League four times, but last season he played 25 games in LaLiga, of which only 8 were from the start.

Real Madrid paid €30m to Malaga eight years ago and he was the first signing of Carlo Ancelotti’s tenure, but his return to the bench could this time coincide with Isco’s departure. An exit could come during the summer, if he ended up accepting the idea of relaunching himself at Milan.

Ajax’s Dusan Tadic is an alternative but there are doubts about whether they will let their captain leave, especially after a season in which he scored 14 goals and added 18 assists. Hakim Ziyech is another option too, while Josip Ilicic is a track that Milan have not given up on, providing it is a low-cost deal.
