GdS: Four topics addressed during Gazidis’ meeting with Pioli – the details

By Isak Möller -

Yesterday, there was a meeting between CEO Ivan Gazidis and manager Stefano Pioli at Milanello. According to today’s edition of Gazzetta Dello Sport (via Milanlive.it), the two addressed four topics in particular.

In the last few days, a lot has changed at Milan, even at Milanello. On Tuesday, it was Paolo Maldini and Zvone Boban that attended the training session. Yesterday, however, Gazidis was the man that turned up instead.

As the newspaper points out, it can all be seen as the handover between the sporting area and the new reference point of the club. After the training session, the CEO stayed for half an hour to speak with Pioli.

In addition to briefing him on the Boban situation, he addressed the issue of the Coronavirus and asked the manager to isolate himself and isolate the team from all the events that don’t have to do with football.

However, above all, he clearly confirmed his trust in him. The purpose of this is clear, as Gazidis doesn’t want Pioli to feel like a walking dead. As the future hasn’t been fully decided yet, this will surely give the manager a big boost.
