A ‘great war’ has broken out between AC Milan and Inter over three of the transfer targets that they share, according to a report.
According to this morning’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (seen below), Milan have made an attempt to sign Romelu Lukaku and it is a manoeuvre that forces Inter accused to change their strategy around the Belgian.
Milan also have a strong interest in signing Davide Frattesi, after Simone Inzaghi thought he could start planning for next season with the Sassuolo midfielder pretty much in the bag, and the Rossoneri hope to close his arrival early next week.
However, the counter-offensive to this provocation did not take long in coming because yesterday the Nerazzurri took important steps towards Marcus Thuram, reopening a file that no one at Inter had ever really shelved.
Milan have the Frenchman high on their list of targets but now face competition from the team across the Navigli. This sensational June derby could make for a great film down the line, with developments happening so quickly.
