GdS: Friendly clash at Yankees Stadium on the cards for Milan amid partnership

By Isak Möller -

Since the takeover of Gerry Cardinale, AC Milan have entered into a partnership with the New York Yankees. Just yesterday, the baseball club’s president was announced as a new board member for the Rossoneri.

Randy Levine, who has been the president of the New York Yankees for a very long time, was announced as a new board member of AC Milan yesterday. Not exactly a surprise, given that the New York Yankees actually own a minority stake in the club.

In addition to the above, Milan also have a partnership with the YES Network, which is a news channel owned by the New York Yankees. Furthermore, commercial synergy has already been put in place as the clubs are selling each other’s merchandise.

According to Gazzetta Dello Sport, as cited by MilanNews, another plan for the future is also to organise a game at Yankees Stadium for Milan. This would allow the fans in the United States to see the Rossoneri in action.
