GdS: Frustration for Milan as Barcelona move the goalposts over €20m deal

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan remain one step away from securing the signing of defender Jean-Clair Todibo, a report claims, but Barcelona want to change the deal slightly.

According to what we were told last week, the Rossoneri have overcome the competition of Bayer Leverkusen to bring Todibo to Milan.

The offer that eventually got accepted was a loan with option to buy which is set at €20million – a bid that, at least for the moment, far exceeds that of two German clubs, including Leverskusen.

All that remained is for the 20-year-old to give his ‘ok’ for the move to take place, something which was expected to arrive.

However, La Gazzetta dello Sport – via MilanNews.it – are reporting that Barcelona strongly believe in the defender’s potential and want to change the goalposts regarding the agreement.

They do not want to lose him outright, and as a result the Catalan giants would like to insert a buy-back clause or make it a dry loan. The first option has been rejected, while the hypothesis of an agreement for a six-month dry loan does not excite but at least would allow for a re-negotiation in the summer.
