GdS: Giampaolo confronted the players; Maldini didn’t intervene

By Isak Möller -

With just two wins in six games, AC Milan have failed to impress at the start of the season. Therefore, Marco Giampaolo has received heavy criticism from his fans, to the point where his job is at risk.

During yesterday’s training session at Milanello, as reported by Gazzetta Dello Sport (via MilanNews.it), Giampaolo confronted his players about the recent performances, getting outplayed by Fiorentina last time out in front of the home fans.

According to the newspaper, Paolo Maldini was also present but didn’t intervene during the confrontation. Instead, he just observed the manager, who is expected to get one final chance to save his job on Saturday evening.

The Rossoneri will face Genoa away from home and three points are a must, to say the least. Hopefully, the former Sampdoria boss will be able to turn this around, although it looks like a tough task for the time being.
