Mike Maignan arrived with big shoes to fill after the departure of Gianluigi Donnarumma, but he seems to already be a fan favourite at AC Milan.
This morning’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews) takes a look at Maignan, who was a key man during the Rossoneri’s first win of the season on Monday night, producing a couple of excellent saves to preserve a clean sheet.
Maignan is already held in very high regard at Milanello and immediately integrated well with the group. He has bonded with his French-speaking comrades but also with the Italians to whom he speaks some words in their language.
He is very close to his family and is still searching for a home with his sister and mother to whom he is very attached. The 25-year-old is also a lover of pizza, and as soon as he arrived in Milan he ordered it for the whole family.
Maignan is a hard worker, and the former Lille man is ready to show Milan what he is all about. The performance in Genoa proves it.
