AC Milan and Zlatan Ibrahimovic, a future yet to be written. Although the Swedish international is crucial for the Rossoneri, it remains to be seen if he has the energy to play yet another season, turning 39 in October.

According to today’s edition of Gazzetta Dello Sport (via Milanlive.it), Ibrahimovic will make a decision at the end of the season. In his contract, there is an option to extend his stay for yet another year, but it all depends on several factors.

In addition to playing for one more season, there is another option on the table. The 38-year-old could decide to hang up his boots and get a new role at AC Milan straight away, per the newspaper.

The new role, which remains a concept for now, would see Ibrahimovic work as a director of the Rossoneri. Already in December, the parties had this hypothesis in mind, knowing that he might retire in the summer.
