Zlatan Ibrahimovic will miss out on the action tomorrow as he’s serving a one-game ban, following the red card against Parma. As a result of this, he decided to spend the weekend with his family in Sweden.
According to Gazzetta Dello Sport (via MilanNews), Milan authorised the trip and it’s perfectly logical given how much time Ibrahimovic has spent away from his family. The renewal, of course, isn’t in doubt at all.
The 39-year-old is expected to sign the renewal in the coming days, per the newspaper, and although he should return tomorrow he won’t be at San Siro for the game. Either way, he’s fully committed to the cause in this crucial period for Milan.
The Rossoneri will take on Sassuolo on Wednesday evening and Ibrahimovic is expected to play the game from the first minute. Currently at 15 league goals, he still has a chance of reaching 20 before the season ends.
