Zlatan Ibrahimovic has rejected a move to Everton, a report claims, but wants to be sure before accepting an AC Milan return.
According to Friday’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews.it), Milan are still waiting for a signal from Ibrahimovic after making an offer weeks ago.
However, the paper claims that he is yet to give an answer to the Rossoneri because he wants to be fully convinced he can help the team.
The feeling is that Ibra is torn between continuing his career in Milan or retiring, with no interest in playing for another club despite numerous links with Everton.
There is no ultimatum from Milan’s side of things, but obviously it cannot go on forever. Ibrahimovic’s desire though is to spend Christmas with his family, and then make an assessment on where his future lies.
In the meantime, it seems Milan are lining up alternative targets such as Red Bull Salzburg striker Erling Haaland.
