GdS: Ibrahimovic set to renew with Milan as Gazidis raises the club’s offer

AC Milan and Zlatan Ibrahimovic are set to continue their journey together as CEO Ivan Gazidis made an extra economic effort to keep the striker, a report claims.

According to Thursday’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews), Ibrahimovic and Milan are about to reach a compromise, a meeting point between the request of the Swede (€7million plus bonuses) and the initial offer (€5m net plus bonuses).

The paper adds that the agreement will be reached at around €6million, after Gazidis reflected and made the extra economic effort to convince the player.

Therefore, the difference between offer and demand has dropped to €1million. The white smoke hasn’t arrived yet, but the optimism continues to grow as Milan plan to close the deal before the weekend.

On Thursday a new meeting is on the agenda, one which could end up being the decisive one as Zlatan has never hidden his desire to remain.
