GdS: Ibrahimovic’s former team-mates convinced he will join Milan

Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s former Sweden team-mates are convinced that the striker will rejoin AC Milan in January, a report claims.

The Rossoneri continue to be linked with a move for Ibrahimovic to help a young squad devoid of leadership and experience.

The team are currently sat in 14th place in the Serie A standings having lost seven of their first twelve games, and they could set an unwanted record with defeat against Napoli after the international break.

SportMediaset journalist Claudio Raimondi (via MilanNews.it) confirmed that Ibrahimovic is looking for a €3.5million-a-year salary, with Milan, Napoli and Bologna all ready to offer him a deal for six months with an option another year.

He also claimed that Milan’s owners Elliott Management would not oppose Ibrahimovic’s return under these conditions, and the player has made it clear that a reunion with Milan is his first choice.

Now, Calciomercato.com – who cite La Gazzetta dello Sport – are reporting that his former team-mates with the Swedish national team are convinced that Ibrahimovic will return to Milan in the end.
