AC Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic wants Stefano Pioli to stay on as the club’s head coach, a report claims, something which could affect his decision regarding his future.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport on Tuesday (via MilanLive), Ibrahimovic’s future at Milan will depend on the project and the choice of the coach.
With Pioli an incredible feeling has been created, the paper reports, and over the past few weeks the two have been in constant contact. Ibra particularly appreciated the technician’s willingness to allow him to stay in Sweden to train freely with Hammarby to keep fit.
This is why it is automatic to think that, if Pioli is confirmed, Ibrahimovic’s renewal would be easier. The foundations for extending are already there, but the coach question has an important weight.
The Ralf Rangnick factor must also be considered: should the German arrived, he may choose to focus on younger players, so the 38-year-old may not have a role.
