GdS: Ilicic signing only feasible at low costs as Milan could pull out – the latest

By Isak Möller -

Milan are looking for a playmaker and a right-winger on the market and one player that can play in both those roles is Josip Ilicic. However, it’s becoming pretty clear that he isn’t one of the Rossoneri’s first-choice targets.

Today’s edition of Gazzetta Dello Sport, as cited by MilanNews, explained where both Milan and Atalanta stand in the negotiations. The Rossoneri are putting some pressure on the Bergamo side, but they don’t want to spend a large sum on Ilicic.

Ilicic is pushing for the move to Milan but as already hinted, Atalanta are asking for too much money currently. Should they refuse to lower their claims, then it’s very unlikely that the operation will materialise.

The Rossoneri already have Alexis Saelemaekers and Samu Castillejo for the right-wing, although the latter is on the exit list. Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara may have decided to focus on Ilicic, but only at very low costs.
