GdS: Latest injury updates on Rebic, Origi, Theo and Tonali ahead of Chelsea clashes

By Isak Möller -

Four AC Milan players are in doubt for the important Champions League games against Chelsea after the break. Important updates have now arrived on the quartet, as provided by Gazzetta Dello Sport.

The newspaper (via SempreMilan) has analysed the situation of Ante Rebic, Divock Origi, Theo Hernandez and Sandro Tonali. The latter left the Italy camp as a precaution and the goal is to have him back already for the Empoli game.

Hernandez has been working at Milanello to recover from the muscle strain and it seems he could be back against Juventus. The Empoli clash is impossible, while the first leg against Chelsea is very difficult for the time being.

Rebic has overcome his back pain and he will now return to training, but it could take some time as he hasn’t played since August. The game against Juventus could perhaps be his return, but the first leg against Chelsea cannot be ruled out.

As for Origi, his recovery will take longer than Rebic but his goal is to be back for the second leg against Chelsea. In fact, the game against Juventus even seems to be within reach as things stand.
