GdS: Interest from abroad in Milan outcasts Ballo-Toure and Origi – the latest

Fode Ballo-Toure and Divock Origi have been on the exit list since the start of the summer, with AC Milan have no intention of keeping either of them. According to a report, while the departures are complicated, there is interest from abroad.

Ballo-Toure and Origi both spent last season on loan in England, more specifically Fulham (the Championship) and Nottingham Forrest (Premier League). While the left-back did okay, the striker certainly wasn’t impressive during the season.

Therefore, everyone knew that offloading the duo would be difficult, also because they both would prefer to join high-level clubs. According to Gazzetta dello Sport (see image below), a couple of Championship sides have expressed an interest in Ballo-Toure and it appears to be the most likely destination.

As for Origi, no ‘attractive proposals’ have arrived yet and while he would like to remain in England, a move to the MLS or Turkey is far more likely. The transfer window in Turkey closes later than the top five European leagues and a transfer could thus materialise in September.

Either way, it seems like Milan will have to terminate Origi’s contract while some money could perhaps be fetched from Ballo-Toure’s exit.

  1. They are pleased with their contracts. They don’t care about their careers, they don’t have dignity, values. They just want to sit on the bench and collect the salary until the end of the contract even if it means not playing a single minute until then. They will only leave if a club in England offers them a higher salary than they have in Milan and for a period that exceeds the one they have in Milan.

    1. yea of course it was Maldini who want freebe, also him who made salary cap & being cheap/random, Maldini never wanted high-class ST just like in his era & never asking for big budget cz he want nobody bigger than him in Milan.
