While a lot of the excitement being generated ahead of tomorrow night’s game against Fiorentina is regarding the call-up of Francesco Camarda, it is also a big night for Luka Jovic too.
La Gazzetta dello Sport (as seen below) writes this morning that Stefano Pioli will field Jovic at the centre of the front three more out of necessity than anything else. Olivier Giroud is suspended so the plan was to put Noah Okafor there before he picked up an injury.

Samuel Chukwueze and Christian Pulisic will flank the Serbian centre-forward, who has the task of getting his first goal for his new club against the team he left in the summer. Not only that, but Giroud’s disqualification against Frosinone means he will likely start then too.
All the weight of the attack – and the pressure from San Siro, given Camarda’s popularity on social media – will inevitably end up on the shoulders of Jovic, signed at the very end of the summer transfer window as Giroud’s deputy and so far decidedly disappointing.
Despite Pioli trusting him a couple of times as a starter – a failed experiment both against Genoa and at San Siro against Udinese – he is yet to have a shot on target. Jovic will try again tomorrow against Fiorentina, the team that dumped him after 13 goals last season and let him go for free to Milan. The word revenge springs to mind.
What revenge? They didn’t do anything bad to him,they gave him a chance to reawaken his carrier,he should be thankful.

Yea he should be thankful but at the same time.,..13 goals should have been enough to re-sign him. There’s something missing in that story that doesn’t add up
Just let this be a warning to folks…scoring goals for one team doesn’t always translate right into the other team even in the same league. There are so many factors involved
I am sick of watching milan “play” – they seem to do their best to play boring football; to promise a lot and hardly deliver anything; and to make all our opponents seem much better than they really are. Pioli and all his staff should be kicked away and a new coach found who can help to make milan wake up from its lethargy. Maldini and Massara were sacked but are moncada and furlani any better???!!! And now ibra will join the fun!!!!! Sure that after 6 months he will resign and go far, far away ….
