Both Juventus and AC Milan are very keen on engineering a loan move for Spanish striker Alvaro Morata but his wages make things tough, a report claims.
As has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport (via Milan News), both the Rossoneri and the Bianconeri are serious about bringing Morata back to Serie A.
The fact that he is set to sign a contract extension with Atletico Madrid should not put them off given it actually opens up a greater possibility of a loan deal, something Juventus and Milan would prefer.
The issue is that he could require a salary of €6.5 million which, even with the growth decree potentially helping, is a big outlay for both teams.
Juventus may have an advantage over Milan as they could offer Dusan Vlahovic to be a part of the deal with Atletico in some way, which would presumably be more attractive for the La Liga side.
There are hundreds of better CFs around the world. Find someone more exciting!
Imagine Dusan Vlahovic going from Alegri to Simeone.
From one defensive minded coach to the Park The Bus coach. The only thing missing to complete this nightmare would be for Vlahovic to be then sent on loan to whatever team Mourinho is coaching.
Wouldn’t wished that on anyone
This is stupid new… and watch the last sentences :
“Juventus may have an advantage over Milan as they could offer Dusan Vlahovic to be a part of the deal with Atletico in some way”
Yeah do it Juve! We will gladly lose Morata to you if you also lose Vlahovic to get him . Lol
I though loan moves (and anything under two year contracts) didn’t count for the ‘growth decree’?
Looking through the Atletico squad list you see just how many attacking players they have… no wonder they need to offload some. Some stupid salaries being paid out there too.
Rumours like this show how out of touch Serie A directors are. While EPL clubs like Brighton can identify up and coming talents, the dinosaurs in Serie A can only think of aging players and rejects that have played (badly) for big clubs in big leagues.
