Rafael Leao is preparing for his third season with Milan, having arrived from Lille in the summer of 2019. Despite some good spells, it’s still tough to determine what the status of the player is.
In many ways, as highlighted by Gazzetta Dello Sport (via MilanNews), the dilemmas the Rossoneri had with the player two years ago are still here. This upcoming season, therefore, will most likely be decisive for Leao’s future.
The first relates to his position on the pitch: is he a winger or a striker? He has been used as a left-winger, a centre-forward and a second striker during his spell with the club and while he has performed best on the wing, it’s still not obvious.
Then there is the fact that he has been very inconsistent. We all know that he has huge potential but at the same time, he has to take the next step. With signings expected for the attack, the pressure will be on him to perform this season.

Leao and hauge are both good players
he shouldn’t if that means we’re losing Hauge
he’s going to be worth less and less, so might as well just go on and get that #capitalgain
I don’t understand why don’t they sell him and keep Hauge, Leao will be one of those players with potential until 27, you can see he doesn’t have what it takes to take that last step, mentally he isn’t there.
and then at the age of 31 we’ll figure that he actually was never meant to reach his potential
Unconvincing after 2 seasons, i think its time he moved on and try his luck in another team. Please sell Leao and leave HAUGE
