AC Milan are not likely to have Rafael Leao back immediately after the international break and he may not play again in the month of November, a report claims.
La Gazzetta dello Sport (seen below) recall how Leao picked up an injury in the first few minutes of the 2-2 draw against Lecce on Saturday and he carried out an MRI scan yesterday to establish the extent of the issue.

The diagnosis was a ‘first degree injury to the right hamstring’ which means he will likely be out for 20 days and perhaps more if, as it usually does at Milan, prudence prevails. It seems very unlikely that he will be back for the Fiorentina game, as well as the Champions League match against Borussia Dortmund on November 28.
There are hopes he will recover quickly and return against Dortmund, but it is more likely that he is back in the side for the home game against Frosinone on 2 December. For Leao, after all, it had been a very intense week.
Last Saturday he played 90 minutes in the defeat against Udinese, then on Tuesday he played the full game against PSG and then he started against in Lecce. It’s easy to imagine that he hadn’t recovered well from the effort against the Parisians and equally natural to question, as the Rossoneri fans did on social media, his very poor warm-up.

We are about to find out of Leao is expandable. Puli will be on his natural LW, Chukwueze will be at RW. If they come up with the goods over this period, One in Five Games Good Leao might end up being the sacrificial lamb this summer, and that money could bring us the top striker, top DM and top CB needed to convert the spine of this squad into a real challenger.
