AC Milan could sign Brazilian forward Everton Soares at a discounted rate this summer, according to reports.

Leonardo seems determined to add a winger to the squad ahead of next season, even though his own future at the club is apparently far from certain.

La Gazzetta dello Sport as well as il Corriere della Sera are reporting that Leonardo could be relieved of his duties if Ivan Gazidis and Elliott Management decide to take a new direction.

Nonetheless, should the Brazilian director pass the Elliott exam, it will be up to him to negotiate the deal for Gremio ace Everton.

The 23-year-old has started the 2019 season well, scoring five goals in 10 competitive appearances, causing his valuation to rise.

It is still not likely that Gremio would demand his full €80million release clause, and the report even hints that Leonardo would be able to unlock a discount that would see Everton ‘allied’ with Milan.
