GdS: Lifelong Milan fan Jovic set for first Rossoneri start against Genoa

By Euan Burns -

Luka Jovic is a lifelong AC Milan fan and he is expected to get his first starting chance for the club when the Rossoneri take on Genoa on Saturday night.

Highlighted by La Gazzetta dello Sport (as seen below), the Serbian striker has been a Milan fan for his whole life thanks to his dad, who is even called Milan.

The move to Milan came almost out of nowhere on the final day of the 2023 summer transfer window, but Jovic has got one season to show the club why he should get a longer deal.

After a series of introductions from the bench during the early stage of the season, Jovic is going to take Olivier Giroud’s starting spot against the Grifone.

He even said during his unveiling as a Milan player: “I don’t know how much time I will have available. However, [Stefano] Pioli told me that he believes in me.”

With the likes of Samuel Chukwueze, Christian Pulisic and Noah Okafor already making an impact for the team, it is Jovic’s turn to impress the fans and more importantly, Pioli.
