GdS: Milan among admirers of Arsenal striker but asking price is €40m

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan retain an interest in signing striker Folarin Balogun from Arsenal but there are a number of rivals for his signature, a report claims.

La Gazzetta dello Sport have published a report regarding Joaquin Correa’s possible sale by Inter and who them might have lined up as potential replacements, with Dodi Lukebakio of Hertha BSC mentioned who Milan were also linked with.

However, they mention that Folarin Balogun is another name on their list, though his valuation is already around the €40m mark. He had a great season in 2022-23 having netted 21 goals in Ligue 1 on loan at Stade Reims.

The USA international will return to Arsenal but will probably be sent back out because of the amount of options available to Mike Arteta, but that does not mean that signing him will be easy for Inter.

Milan are mentioned as a suitor for Balogun, as well as RB Leipzig, Marseille, Monaco and Villarreal, making it an ‘uphill road’ for the Nerazzurri.

What a fkn embarrassment. Make it to CL semis and can’t even spend 40M on a starting striker with huge upside. Sell the fkn club Red$hit

    1. Yeah fack… Jerry should quickly build his stadium and resell. We could be in competition for Mbappé right now.

  2. Reports also say that Inter is closing on Retegui as well who has a clause at 18mil. That’s probobly the best striker that is avaliable for that cheap. Everyone else is 40 mil or so.

  3. Second European Giant, but can’t spend 40 million for one player! Small club like Newcastle are spending big money for one player. Is pity for this useless Milan owner!

You can thank Berlusconi & the Chinese super owner for f*king up the finances big time. Now it’s Elliott’s & RedBird’s job to fix the finances and they’re doing great ATM.

    1. lol we have very little debt now, operating at an income and just made ucl semis,we are milan historically the second best team in the world but can’t outspend teams that have never made europa league in their history

    2. Put some respect to that name, BERLUSCONI!

      The President saved Milan.

He didn’t want to continue spending and he sold it. The Chinese buyer hired two Interistas – Fassone & Mirabelli who messed everything.

      1. The FFP held him from spending. If there is one thing that Berluconi failed at Milan, it is that he fail to monetize Milan brand, so much untapped commercial markets. This is the reason he talked about selling half of the share to Taechaubol (Thailand) and ended up with selling it all to Yonghong Li (China), he want the club to get better access at Asian commercial market. That doesn’t work as intended but now we are improving our American commercial market.

      2. “Put some respect to that name, BERLUSCONI!”

I respect him alright. But it was during his spell when the serious “budget issues” began and you simply cannot ignore that.

  5. While other team start to strengten the team with concrete signing, we just admiring someone that we will not get it. Milan itu punuk merindukan bulan
