AC Milan are close to being able to officially announce the extension of Geoffrey Moncada’s contract, according to a report.
According to what La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews) are reporting this morning, the renewal of Moncada’s contract with Milan – which expires on June 30th currently – is getting closer and closer.
There is an agreement in principle between the parties to extend his deal for at least another season. The current Rossoneri chief scout would continue to work with Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara in the same structure as has been in place for the past few years, despite the change in ownership.
Moncada has been credited in the past with identifying some of the players who were a big part of Monaco’s run to the semi-finals of the Champions League a few years ago, and he has also received praise for his work at Milan too given the talented young core built and the bargain gems discovered like Pierre Kalulu and now Malick Thiaw.
