GdS: Milan and Roma insist on Vlahovic but Fiorentina raise asking price to €80m

AC Milan and Roma remain interested in Fiorentina star Dusan Vlahovic but his huge asking price may be prohibitive, a report claims.

It has been without doubt an incredible breakout season as the 21-year-old has scored 21 goals in 37 games in all competitions so far this season, having netted just four goals in Serie A between August and December.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport (via FootballItalia), Roma and Milan are interested in signing Vlahovic once the transfer window reopens but it seems his asking price goes up every time he plays as Fiorentina now want €80m.

The fact his contract expires in June 2023 gives La Viola the freedom to command such a high fee, and Fiorentina coach Beppe Iachini said last month that he is convinced the Serbia international will remain.

“Dusan must remain focused on the last games of the season, keeping the same attitude. The President will convince him to continue the journey together,” Fiorentina coach Beppe Iachini said in April.

There have also been reports from a number of other top clubs like Liverpool, Manchester United and Real Madrid.
