GdS: Milan and Spurs looking to address problem area with move for Atalanta star

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are set to battle Tottenham for the signing of Atalanta goalkeeper Pierluigi Gollini in the upcoming window, it is claimed.

The Rossoneri continue to be linked with a number of goalkeeping targets given the doubts over the future of Gianluigi Donnarumma, whose contract expires at the end of next season with no signs regarding a renewal as of yet.

It was actually reported by TMW earlier in the month that the idea of Donnarumma extending his deal at the club now seems increasingly unlikely, so the club will 30-50% of the proceeds from his sale to secure his replacement.

The outlet stated that Gollini is an option with an offer of €17-18million possibly enough to reach an agreement.

According to the latest from La Gazzetta dello Sport (via Calciomercato.com), Gollini is indeed on the list of potential goalkeeping targets for the Rossoneri, but they are not the only club keen.

That is because Jose Mourinho’s Spurs have also registered an interest having struggled for consistency between the posts all season, and with Hugo Lloris having struggled since his return from injury.
