GdS: Milan close to agreement over Kessie’s renewal as PSG’s advances are thwarted

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are ready to cede to Franck Kessie’s demands in order to get him to extend his stay at the club, according to a report.

After Gianluigi Donnarumma and Hakan Calhanoglu both walked away for nothing, the pressure is firmly on the Milan management to resolve the future of the Ivorian as soon as possible to avoid similar situations in the future.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanLive), the big clubs around Europe are monitoring the situation linked to the former Atalanta star, with teams in the Premier League and above all Paris Saint-Germain ready to seize any opportunity that may arise.

Milan want to keep Kessie quite literally at all costs and that is why they are ready to please the player’s entourage, who are asking for €6m net per season. An agreement between the parties, with very high salary figures, is close.

Kessie has given priority to Milan, where he feels very happy and like a leader. He knows that with a renewal he would become even more of a symbol of the team, like Davide Calabria, but the signing is likely to come after the Olympics in Tokyo where he will represent his country.
