GdS: Milan continue to monitor young duo as midfield revamp is on the cards

By Isak Möller -

Ahead of the upcoming season, we can expect to see some changes at Milan. Although the performances since the league restart were fantastic, they still need some reinforcements to compete for a top-four finish.

The midfield is undoubtedly one of the departments that Milan need to strengthen during the transfer window, seeing as Ismael Bennacer and Franck Kessie got little rest due to the lack of alternatives. In other words, a backup that can cover for both is needed.

According to today’s edition of Gazzetta Dello Sport (via MilanNews.it), in addition to Tiemoue Bakayoko, the Rossoneri have also set their sights on Florentino Luis and Matteo Pessina. The latter, though, is more of an attacking midfielder.

Lucas Biglia and Jack Bonaventura, who both have expiring contracts, will leave the club and Rade Krunic is wanted by Torino. Therefore, there could be a mini-revolution in the midfield for Milan ahead of next season.
