GdS: Milan could launch assault for expiring Zenit star – contacts already underway

By Isak Möller -

Milan want to be prepared for the upcoming season as it will be the most important one in many years, finally back in the Champions League. One of the priorities on the market, therefore, is the centre-forward position.

Several players have been linked with the Rossoneri lately but as reported by Gazzetta Dello Sport (via MilanLive), a lot will depend on the injury of Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Without a quick recovery, Milan could be forced to act.

Olivier Giroud seems destined to join the club but he might not be the only striker joining, with Sardar Azmoun also mentioned. The Zenit star, whose contract will expire in 2022, scored 19 goals and assisted 6 in the Russian league this past season.

Without a renewal, Zenit could be forced to sell the Iranian international this summer and as reported by the newspaper, Milan have already held talks for the operation. However, they are stalling so they can know more about Ibrahimovic’s condition.

  1. WoOoW! He is fucking good!
I don’t know why some call him, Iranian Messi. He is a Lewandowski type goalscorer! Just look at his record on zenit and national team.
GO MILAN! GET HIM! Forza Milan!
