GdS: Milan could use Halilovic as part of bid to land €30m midfield target from Benfica

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan may be able to capitalise upon Benfica’s interest in Alen Halilovic to land Florentino Luis, according to a report.

Friday’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanLive) notes how Halilovic will report for the first day of preseason at Milanello on Monday.

The 24-year-old Croatian, who has finished his spell on loan at Heerenveen, will be available to Stefano Pioli. However, the coach will take a few days to evaluate his chances of remaining in the squad.

If Halilovic were to impress he could flesh out the attacking department. At the moment, there are no strong interests on the market other than that of Benfica. It is therefore easy to think that he could be used in a deal to land midfielder Florentino Luis, who continues to be on Milan’s radar.

La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews) reported earlier in the month that Milan have not given up on the idea of signing Florentino to reinforce the midfield, who is valued at €30million by Benfica.
