GdS: Milan cross their fingers regarding recovery plan – when Ibrahimovic could be back

By Isak Möller -

Zlatan Ibrahimovic is yet to recover from his calf injury, but it seems Milan won’t have to wait for much longer before he’s on the pitch again. Of course, this is a big boost for the Rossoneri, who need their striker.

As reported by Gazzetta Dello Sport (via MilanNews), the Swede will certainly miss the games against Benevento and Juventus, January 3rd and 6th respectively. However, this was expected from the start.

With that said, though, Ibrahimovic’s goal is to be back from start against Cagliari, who will face Milan on the 18th on Sardinia. The return could even be earlier than that, more specifically six days earlier, in the cup game against Torino.

If the calf doesn’t bother him, then he could make a few minutes against Il Toro just to get back into the game. Meanwhile, Milan are crossing their fingers that this recovery plan will be the final one.
