GdS: Milan-Dortmund officially a sell-out as club launch scarf appeal

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan will be backed by a sold out home crowd tomorrow night as they aim to secure what would be a colossal win against Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League.

La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that San Siro will be full once again for the game between Stefano Pioli’s Milan and Edin Terzic’s Dortmund, meaning over 70,000 spectators will be present just as they were against Paris Saint-Germain and Newcastle United.

This is a decisive match given Pioli’s team is currently third with 5 points, but with a victory they would overtake the German side who are now first with 7. Newcastle are bottom of the group but they have 4 points, while PSG are second with 6, and that means every team can finish in any spot.

The club invited all the fans who will attend San Siro tomorrow evening to bring a Milan scarf with them for the match, to welcome the players as they enter the pitch and make the entire stadium red and black.

  1. Now, the team has no excuse of lack of support. Unfortunately, I foresee another dissapointment to the fans.
I’m hoping to be surprised though…
