GdS: Milan €1-2m off striking deal with Spurs – deal could close in next 24 hours

AC Milan and Spurs continue to get closer to finding a meeting point regarding Emerson Royal with the gap now very small, according to a report.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, there is now just €1-2m standing between Emerson Royal and a move to Milan that he really wants. The Rossoneri and Tottenham continue to negotiate for the Brazilian full-back but the road has been downhill for some time.

Logic says that it will close at €14-15m. When? It is difficult to be certain, but tomorrow could be a key day. Milan and Real Madrid are playing in the United States, but seven hours away in Europe (in time zones) there is a meeting scheduled to try close the Emerson deal.

Time zones could play a part in things because while the Milan squad are in the USA, Giorgio Furlani and Geoffrey Moncada – the men involved in the negotiations – are in Italy. Spurs, on the other hand, are on the other side of the world in South Korea.

Emerson Royal is training regularly with the team and he is playing too, given that in the friendly between Vissel Kobe and Tottenham he was a starter, and he has one goal in mind: to be ready to join Milan in the best shape.

The 25-year-old would be the potential starter on the right side and would relish a battle with Davide Calabria to earn Paulo Fonseca’s trust. Among his objectives is to reconquer a spot in the Brazilian national team too after missing the Copa America.
