The possibility of AC Milan acquiring one of three Fiorentina stars in a swap deal involving Lucas Paqueta has been discussed, a report claims.
It has been a difficult last few months for Paqueta who has found himself slipping down the pecking order amid reports he is struggling with life away from football and after repeated links with a January exit.
It was reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport on Monday that Milan face a dilemma regarding the 22-year-old, who they paid €45m for, with Fiorentina keen on a swap deal.
Now their reporter Nicolo Schira has offered an update by claiming La Viola are indeed serious about landing Paqueta and are happy to insert right-back Pol Lirola as a counterpart, a player who only arrived last summer.
However, Milan asked for information on Federico Chiesa, who is valued at €70m and has a salary of €5m-a-year, meaning he is out of reach.
Centre-back Nikola Milenkovic was also enquired about, who was rated at €50m in January.
#calciomercato https://t.co/5un7SCoG7E
