GdS: Milan explored unsuccessful exchange deal for Sevilla striker with Origi

AC Milan tried to engineer an exchange deal that involved Divock Origi and Sevilla striker Youssef En-Nesyri earlier in the summer but it did not materialise, a report claims.

As has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport (via Pianeta Milan), the Rossoneri had their idea ruined by the valuation that Sevilla have of En-Nesyri.

Given he is under contract with the Spanish club until June 30, 2025, they wanted a deal worth €30 million for the Moroccan striker.

That did not compute with Milan’s plan in which Origi would have headed to La Liga and Milab paid a fee that was much less than Sevilla would have demanded.

That is partly why Milan reignited their interest in Mehdi Taremi at Porto who is now expected to join the club after a €15m deal was reached with the Portuguese side.

En Nesyri scored 18 goals across La Liga, the Europa League, the Champions League and the Copa del Rey last season.
