GdS: Milan face tough negotiation to renew Theo and Bennacer due to €6m demands – the latest

Journalist Carlo Laudisa has warned that AC Milan will not face a straightforward negotiation when it comes to the renewal of their other star players.

The well-known journalist for La Gazzetta dello Sport spoke during a YouTube video with Carlo Pellegatti (via MilanLive) and took stock of the renewals of Theo Hernandez and Ismael Bennacer.

After the Gianluigi Donnarumma and Hakan Calhanoglu departures and the currently ongoing saga surrounding Franck Kessie, multiple outlets have claimed the management have moved ahead of time to try and renew the French full-back and the Algerian midfielder, just as they did with Alexis Saelemaekers who renewed until 2026 last week.

Both Theo and Bennacer have a contract expiring in 2024 and the players have expressed a willingness to continue with the club’s current project. Both earn around €2m net per season but the bar has risen and demands of around €6m are expected

“Don’t be fooled, an agreement is not around the corner. Milan want to reach around 4 million euros. The issue will also be addressed with meetings in the new year,” he said.

On Simon Kjaer, Laudisa added that the Dane is waiting for a call and there is the will on both sides to carry on together, so there is very much movement on multiple fronts.
