GdS: Milan handed boost in Vlasic pursuit as Zenit drop out of race – the latest

By Isak Möller -

Milan are still looking for an attacking midfielder on the market and have been linked with countless players in the last few weeks. A few names have been mentioned more often than others, though, including Nikola Vlasic.

The Rossoneri’s pursuit of the Croatian seemingly faded away as the demands of CSKA Moscow were simply too high, able to use the interest of Zenit as leverage. However, the story has taken another turn by the looks of it.

According to Carlo Laudisa of Gazzetta Dello Sport, speaking on Carlo Pellegati’s Youtube channel, provided an update on the matter. He stated that Zenit have dropped out of the race, which could result in an opening for Milan.

“The first choice remains Ziyech. Zenit tried for Vlasic, a target of Milan, without being able to sign him and bought Claudinho instead. Vlasic, who is at CSKA Moscow, still thinks of Milan. And what if in the end, Vlasic was the chosen one?,” he said as cited by Pianeta Milan.

It remains to be seen which player the Rossoneri will end up with, but it’s almost certain that a playmaker will arrive before the window closes. It would be very strange if that doesn’t end up being the case.
