GdS: Milan have a clear plan for the growth of Pellegri – his role explained

By Isak Möller -

Pietro Pellegri is closing in on a move to AC Milan as an agreement has been reached with Monaco over the transfer. At the beginning of next week, he’s expected in the city to undergo his medical for the club.

The 20-year-old will act as the alternative to Olivier Giroud and Zlatan Ibrahimovic this season. And for the future, he could be the first-choice striker. Milan’s plan for his development is clear, as highlighted by Gazzetta Dello Sport (via MilanNews).

Their idea is to give Pellegri a role that won’t come with a lot of responsibility, but rather with the idea of growing without pressure. The striker has trained at full speed in pre-season and is in good condition, so there are no doubts on that front.

Milan, simply put, want to enhance his qualities but won’t force the development. Pellegri’s has huge potential and if everything goes well, he could be the Rossoneri’s striker for many years to come.

  1. Now as much as I like this idea, I’d prefer Belotti to come next season to take the mantle from Ibra. Then maybe Pellegri could take it

    1. Belotti looks like he will finish his career at Torino..He loves the club.In the end..I think Between Leao,Groud and Pellegri we are covered for 2 yrs at least..aPlus Colombo is still around.

    2. Even if we sign pellegri next year i dont think belotti should be exluded as a potential signing if we can get him on a free transfer by then as ibra most likely will retire by then, Add to that there might already be a chance in late january if he hasnt renewed by then.

  2. Yeah, Pellegri seems a sensible choice. Lets hope he has used up his injury quota and will be in good shape so that his development isn`t hampered. Pellegri definetly has great potential. Forza Milan!
