AC Milan have set their sights on Rasmus Hojlund for the attack and according to a report, a loan deal can be made with Man Utd, though the player needs convincing.
Having parted ways with Tammy Abraham and Luka Jovic at the start of the summer, it’s clear that Milan need to reinforce their attack. Santiago Gimenez recently returned to training and while he could be the starter this season, a deputy is obviously needed.

In that sense, Milan have been linked with many players in the last few weeks, from Dusan Vlahovic to Darwin Nunez. The most concrete name for now, however, appears to be Hojlund as a loan deal could be accepted by Manchester United.
Milan must convince Hojlund
According to today’s edition of Gazzetta dello Sport (see photo below), Milan are pushing for the Dane’s arrival and ‘will do everything possible to convince him’. Indeed, he has ended up at the very top of their wish list for the No.9 role.
That being said, in addition to reaching an agreement with Man Utd over a loan with an option to buy, the Rossoneri must also convince Hojlund. The striker has made it clear that he wants to play his cards in Manchester, hoping to prove the fans wrong after some doubts.

In other words, he has no intention of packing his bags despite the imminent arrival of Benjamin Sesko from RB Leipzig. His stance might change in the coming weeks but for now, it’s no certainty that he will accept a move to Milan.
Loan deal and figures
Man Utd paid €78m including bonuses to secure the striker from Atalanta, but the investment hasn’t yielded the desired results just yet. As such, the English side could opt to get as much as possible from a potential sale now, ready to give the green light to a loan with option deal.
That being said, the clubs will need to work on the figures. Milan want to end up below €40m overall, perhaps with a loan fee of €5-6m and a buy-out clause of €28-30m, while the Old Trafford side would like more than €40m.
Igli Tare, the Rossoneri’s sporting director, is making his moves as he doesn’t want an auction to break out. He has faith in the deal and yesterday, there were frequent contacts with the intermediaries that are responsible for the operation.
As the newspaper concludes, the main focus will be to convince the player, as reaching an agreement with the club shouldn’t be a problem at the end of the day.

Rasmus Hojlund please 🙏 don’t be convinced…. turn down Tare……… stay in Man utd and fight for your place and prove yourself….. I’m begging you…. don’t come to milan
If it ends up being 5 + optional 35 it is a great deal.
What exactly did this guy do that made United pay up to 78mill for him? Atalanta must be jinxing buyers or something. Even till-date I do not see what he brings except not being fit.
He did what anyone who convinces Man Utd directors did, he generated hype for a short window and was available for a very high price. Do you really think Sesko will fix all their problems and finally be their golden goose?
I’d rather we go for Zirkzee than this fraud.
Sesko not. But the Premier league experienced players they got will. Best transfer window they’ve had in almost 20 years.
What a terrible player.
11 goals in 21 games in UEFA Competitions over the past 2 seasons isn’t bad at all. Especially with those goals coming at Manchester United who have been terrible. He’s scored about at the same clip Jovic has in the past 3 seasons. Only difference is Rasmus is 22 years old. Whereas Jovic is now 28 years old.
He’s not a bad player, before he went to United we made a bid for him for €25m even before the Zirkzee deal. But Manchester United, the dysfunctional club that they are threw €80m at Atalanta and they would never pass that up, Rasmus is a good player, just ended up at the wrong club like so many others at Manchester United going back to the days of Alex the drunk, like Kleberson, Veron, Di Maria etc etc
Im not convinced, but hope he’ll probe me wrong. I really like Gimenez, so hope he’ll hit the ground running under Allegri
Prove
He would be a good backup for Gimenez
Milan want him, but, won’t force it. His agent has the job of convincing him, knowing there isn’t much left for him at United anymore. The coach doesn’t believe in him, and the investment on Sesko means less and less playing time, and more rot on the bench. I like him, and, I hope he jumps on the opportunity to re-ignite his football career. The likes of CR7, Ibra, have shown the world that you can make your mark wherever, if you put your heart to it. It may not turn out well at every stopping point.
Leave this flop and go for someone else. What is it with Milan and premier League flops?
Huge risk. He was horrid last season and only had one good year with Atalanta before they cashed in. Very risky. IF our ONLY options are Hollund or Vlahovic I’d rather have Vlahovic for HALF the cost. Both under 25 but Vlahovic has worked with Allegri before and is more proven in league than Hollund
Our idiocy amazes me, we will send a younger Camarda out with a buy back clause, we’ll ship out a Colombo who has scored more goals to this point in the first division but “try to do everything” to convince a Manchester United flop. Just get Leoni, we have enough strikers.
