GdS: Milan hoping to have midfielder available vs. Cagliari after completing €15m operation

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are hoping to have midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko available for tomorrow’s game against Cagliari at San Siro, a report claims.

This morning’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanLive) writes that the target is to have Bakayoko on the bench for Milan-Cagliari tomorrow night at San Siro. The Rossoneri hope to be able to get the transfer done in time to be able to call him up and have an extra option for the midfield off the bench, but it might be difficult.

The former Monaco man already knows the club and the league well, even if some things have changed since his first loan spell, which means that inserting him into the squad would not be as daunting as it may be for another arrival.

Today’s program includes medical examinations, the test for sports fitness and finally the signature on the contract. Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara managed to get Bakayoko back on a two-year paid loan with an option to buy at €15m which could become an obligation under certain conditions.
