GdS: Milan hoping to sign midfielder on loan with option to buy as part of double swoop

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are hoping to close a deal for Torino midfielder Soualiho Meite as part of a double swoop this week, according to a report.

According to the latest from La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews), the Rossoneri management are hoping to get the Mohamed Simakan operation over the line in the next few days having made an offer of €17m.

In addition to the centre-back though, Milan are also looking for a reinforcement in the midfield and in the last few days the track that leads to Soualiho Meité of Torino has been increasingly talked about.

The 26-year-old – who has lost his starting position under Marco Giampaolo and wasn’t even on the bench on Saturday against Milan – could land at Milanello on loan with an option to buy.

The paper adds that for now negotiations between the two clubs have not yet officially begun, but with the passing of the hours the Meité idea for the Milan midfield takes more and more shape.
