It is well known that AC Milan are looking to sign a central defender during the summer transfer window, and an option from Brighton has reportedly emerged.
This morning’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Milan will look to sign a centre-back and a right-back during the upcoming mercato. Not only that, but they want them to be starter-level players who can come in and immediately make a difference.
The management are looking at Igor, formerly of Fiorentina and now at Brighton. He is just one of the Rossoneri’s latest ideas, having first come to Italy with SPAL and then joining La Viola, while last summer he was sold to the Premier League side for €17m and another €3m in bonuses.
It is the same amount that Brighton would ask for today to sell him after one season with 33 appearances under Roberto De Zerbi. The paper stresses again that it is just an idea, because between now and the end of August the transfer window will be filled with many other ideas.
The 26-year-old spent time in the youth academies of Atletico Miniero and Red Bull Brasil before making the jump to Red Bull Salzburg. SPAL signed him from there in 2019, after loan spells at Wolfsberger AC and Austria Wien.
His name ain’t Buongiorno but his colour for sure attracted Moncada
Right, Moncada is a reverse racist? Are you serious? LOL!!!
Buongiorno. Twice as expensive but twice as good. No brainer.
Igor? Ok bro this is not the way Cardinale
Waste of money. You have Simic who is already better. But they hate Milan grown players.
Calafori, Buongiorno or Scalvini please, moncada. Milan need more italians. Add Ricci and Zaniolo as well.
