AC Milan have begun discussions with the agent of Santos striker Kaio Jorge over a summer move and have made him a promise, it is claimed.
The Rossoneri’s owners Elliott Management have thus far deployed a recruitment strategy focused on buying young players with high potential and developing them in order to record capital gains on the balance sheet.
According to the latest from La Gazzetta dello Sport reporter Nicolo Schira on Twitter, Milan have joined the race for Kaio Jorge.
The Brazilian striker is chased by half of Europe, but the Rossoneri have offered the 18-year-old the chance to immediately be a starter.
Schira adds that Milan have even held phone contacts with his agent Giuliano Bertolucci in the hopes of beating the competition, who was apparently the subject of a recent €18m bid from Juventus.
Jorge has only made six appearances for Santos’ senior side, scoring once.
