GdS: Milan initiate talks with Napoli defender on expiring deal as Man Utd man will leave

By Isak Möller -

Milan are looking for a new full-back ahead of next season as Diogo Dalot hasn’t done enough to impress the management. He has had some ups, but also many downs, forcing the Rossoneri to look elsewhere.

As reported by Gazzetta Dello Sport (via MilanLive), the Rossoneri have probed the ground for Napoli defender Elseid Hysaj. The Albanian’s contract will expire in the summer and it doesn’t look like he will renew, ready for a new adventure.

He’s the perfect replacement for Dalot as he can also play on both sides of the defence, which is always a plus. Milan have had initial talks with his entourage and the idea could soon become a bit more concrete.

Davide Calabria and Theo Hernandez are the undisputed starters but since the Rossoneri most likely will be competing on several fronts, they need a good backup. Hysaj could be the right man for them but for now, it remains just an idea.
