Franck Kessie has been a crucial player for Milan all season, almost always present in the starting XI and thus providing great safety amid the injury struggles. Lately, however, he has certainly taken it up a notch.
The midfielder has been the MOTM for several games in a row and that says a lot about his recent performances. He was stunning against Man Utd and he will be looking to continue on this path against Napoli tomorrow.
According to Gazzetta Dello Sport, as cited by MilanNews, Milan are keen on renewing his current deal which will expire in 2022. Talks are already underway and the discussion is for a contract until 2026, with a salary of €3m per year.
Kessie currently earns €2.2m so it would be a good boost for him, but it remains to be seen if it’s in line with his demands. Either way, it seems that both parties want to continue together and this is a crucial factor.
