AC Milan have an alternative in mind if they do not manage to seal a deal for Alessandro Florenzi of Roma, according to a report.
Il Corriere di Roma (via MilanNews) reported this morning everything is at a standstill regarding Florenzi’s move to Milan. There is an agreement between the player and the Rossoneri, but one with Roma is still missing and if the Rossoneri management do not accept a loan with obligation to buy (rather than just an option) the Giallorossi will not let the full-back leave.
Now, La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews) are reporting that Milan actually have a back-up plan in mind in the event that problems should emerge in their pursuit of Florenzi. The paper claims that plan B for the Rossoneri is Sergino Dest, a 20-year-old Barcelona full-back who could arrive at Milanello in loan.
Given the financial difficulties Barca are suffering with, they are looking to offload salary where possible.

He was bought oct 1rst 2020 for 21 mil on a contract lasting untill 2025 and according to transfermarkt currently holds a valuation of 30 mil so im pretty confident to say that we wont buy or loan him if we wont pay what utd was demanding for dalot so i simply doesnt see us buying an even more expenssive backup for calabria. Add to that a far more limited player position wise compared to dalot and florenzi.
This is just an artificial pressure on Roma to accept the ‘loan with option to buy’. Dest is a very good player. At best we could obtain a dry loan.
he is on a low salary of 2mil a year from what i can see and is a recent investment so why would they offload him on a dry loan when we propably wont pay much more than a mil or two to loan him to begin with ? If they need cash it would make more sense to sell him outright.
